So honored to serve as a governor of the Recording Academy – The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS). I served as an adviser in 2023 and then won my seat as a governor in 2024, where I will serve for 4 years in this position.
In this role, I will be able to assist my fellow academy members in ensuring that their values and voices are heard and that the academy reflects accessibility and diversity for all, thereby amplifying the ideals of the community.
Of course, people know that NARAS brings music’s biggest night to the world in the form of the GRAMMYS, but we do so much more, including advocating to the US government for bills that serve the greater music community, and through Music Cares, assists musicians and music communities with financial support, like during the LA fires.
This is such an amazing organization, and it is a true privilege to be a governor!
